Churches Together in Long Lane

St John's is a member of Churches Together in Long Lane; an ecumenical group of churches spread along Long Lane in Hillingdon.

This group of churches are actively working together to expand God's kingdom in Hillingdon by recognising that although we may worship Him in different ways we are all working to spread the good news of Jesus' death and resurrection to our community.

At a covenant service at All Saints Church on Sunday 23rd January 2005 where clergy and congregation representatives from all the churches signed a joint declaration

The aims of the group are:

  • To work togeher in proclaiming the Gospel of Christ to those in our community who are not associated with our churches
  • To work together on activities which are recognised ads better done together than separately.
  • To pray regularly for one another's ministry
  • To work at deepening our understanding of one another's ministry
  • To seek ways of supporting each other
  • To seek together the mind of Christ, that our churches may grow closer together.
