I'm exhausted - I've been working on this site virtually every waking moment for at least the past three ofr four weeks sometimes from 6.30 in the morning till gone midnight - I need sleep but there's still so much to do!
I'm having extreme formatting problems and my computer seems to hate me. Oh and my S key has a stutter and this was a new (well, reconditioned) keyboard been too busy to take the laptop to bits and remove the keyboard again - can't cope without it right now.
Coupled with that the washing machine broke a couple of weeks ago and we can't afford a new one - shouldn't have been a major issue, Paul ordered new bearings which arrived sometime last week... he's an engineer so fixing it wasn't going to be too much of a probelem - yeah right! He'ss cut himself to shreds trying to get at the right bits and after all his efforts and depsite the bearings and housing being shredded it's still broken! My kitchen has washing machine guts all over it, there are dishes piled almost to the ceiling because I've been busy with the website and now I can't wash them because I can't use the sink
I have wet bedding in the bath because needed putting in to soak but now I can't tumble dry the matress protector because the washer is also the tumble dryer.
So... tomorrow instead of sleeping (or more likely working on the site) we have to take half a disembowelled washing machine to Park Royal on the bus and tube so Paul can take it into work to try to fix it. I really don't need this! Why is it that when you think you've got a break from all the horrible things life throws at you something else goes horribly wrong???
Life feels like everything is a huge fight at the moment and I just don't have any fight left.
My brain hurts and I need sleep but I can't switch my brain off which makes sleep somewhat difficult, too tired to eat thiss evening too - deep joy!
Sometimes I wonder if life could actually suck any more than it seems to at the moment - but then I worry I'm tempting fate by asking.

Apparently it can get worse!
The fridge-freezer has now packed up!
having a bad day.
you are very welcome to come and use my washing machine. call me!
A slightly less bad day :-)
Decided to pop along to church earlier than usual today since we were up and about - glad we did because we got to be there when Frank's ashes were interred - when we arrived home we decided to give the fridge freezer one last chance to work... lo and behold it likes us again and has decided to play nicely. We haven't lost any food either because the contents were still mirraculously frozen!
The washing machine is still in a state of disembowellment (sp?) but Paul is pretty sure if he takes the broken bits to work he can fix the cracked strut on some of the casing and sort out replacing the bearings so all being well that will be rescued for a while at least
Thanks for all the offers of washing machine use - I will probably be taking someone up on that tomorrow (thanks Christine!), and hope to be back in the land of the washed sometime soon!
Things are still not great but they certainly are nowhere near as bad as yesterday.
worth the effort
Can i say "wow" what a fantastic site. its been great checking out whats happening at St Johns and linking up from 164 miles away. All those sleepless nights were worth it.
Thanks
Cheers!
Glad you like it
Feel free to join in on the forum and wherever else you fancy!
We're currently tearing our hair out over a couple of other websites that are refusing to render properly in Internet Explorer despite having valid code and working perfectly in at least 3 other browsers - much as we really love doing this sort of thing sometimes it drives us bonkers!
Oh and if you know anyone who wants a nice accessibility friendly website that has W3C compliant code send then in this direction - our rates are quite reasonable :-)
