Confirmation is an ancient Christian ritual in which adult Christians reconfirm their baptism promises. Traditionally, this ceremony is conducted by the local bishop. At St John's we invite the bishop to lead a confirmation every one or two years.
Before and after the bishop's visit, those being confirmed meet together to discuss their Christian faith and discover more about its origins in the life and teaching of Jesus. All local people who have been baptised (christened) are welcome to take part in this. We run separate groups for adults and for teenagers.
