If Jesus had a website...

If Jesus had a website...

I find myself wondering if Jesus had a website what would it look like? How would it work? What would it say?

When we started looking after the St John's website we were confident that we could build something that people would find easy to use and nice to look at. We soon realised that there were people we had overlooked - we knew that blind people use the Internet but hadn't really considered other disabilities which affect the way people use computers... as soon as we became aware of this we made it our mission to research as much as possible so that we could have a site which catered for the needs of as many users as we could.

I think that because it's so easy to throw any old website on the net and because certain user groups get overlooked no-one seems to care that they're excluding people - as a Christian I think this is just plain wrong!

I think if Jesus had a website he would make sure that no-one was left out.

I couldn't possibly imagine what the content would be... what would he say in his Blog? What would he consider to be the burning issues of the day? What would he put in his photo gallery?

But then I think... Jesus does have websites - many of them! Every church, Christian organisation, Christian person's Blog... they're all part of it. Some are good... some are dreadful - as "webmasters for Jesus" surely there is a huge responsibility to build sites that he would be proud of???

Jesus' website

I think if Jesus had a website it wouldn't be obviously about God or religion or church. It would be about life, about being human. It would be fun to read, probably rather crazy, but it would make you think. You would log off, or move on, but something about it would stick in your brain and you'd find yourself lying in bed trying to work it out.

If Jesus has a website

Well it sounds rather interesting but I would hope that Jesus would be more computer savvy than I am!
