Hello! Please let us know what you think!
(If you've never posted before, don't worry - Even I can figure out how to do it, and it DOESN'T mean you'll get a deluge of emails from the church finance team, or anyone... You can be as anonymous as you want!)

We went on the family quiz trail today and found corners of the locality that we had never ventured into. It was great fun and even the youngest didn't complain about a 2.5 hour adventure. A shame that there weren't more folks taking part as it was clear to follow and required a lot of searching effort from the children. Thank you for this one, and we are looking forward to the rest of the week!
only popped for a few minutes right at the end, but I bought myself a beautifil shawl/throw for £2- what a bargain!
I love the buzz that you get in church on an afternoon like today- people chatting, drinking tea, engaging with whatever ever is going on, fairtrade, green experience, etc, welcoming visitors etc etc. Fantastic!
One thing to note though, if you sign up using an anonymous username and email address, please make sure you identify yourself as friendly in the introduce yourself section of the forum, or send the web team a private email letting us know you're a real person. I'm finding myself having to get more and more brutal with the administration of these users, and I'd hate to delete a real member by mistake.
- So nice to know we're being so well looked after!
See the Webmaster's Blog for more info on Paul's brutal tendencies...!
Enough of that - Let's talk about the Festival! Good to see some long-lost friends at the Table Top Sale this afternoon (and - even better - to send them home with some of our old junk!)
Please don't just read this - join in! We'd love to know what you think.
Went along to retail evening which was good. Brought some bits and pieces including some lovely choc cake which reminds me - still got some left!
There is much excitement here at Geek Towers... Fluffy and Monium are getting ready for their parachute jump as I type! They've decided to send us along too in the hope that we can get some good photos of their death defying feat
The camera batteries have been on charge all morning in anticipation and memory cards are about to be formatted to make sure we can take lots of pics for the website.
Blankie Bear, Gerard and Rudolph thoroughly enjoyed themselves this afternoon and are now snuggled up exhausted in Bear...d !!
I managed to escape to the retail therapy evening on Friday and came back with a moving picture book, four silver bookmarks, some greeting cards, and a wonderful giraffe puppet - which my children are now fighting/dribbling over! Not forgetting to mention eating some of the best homemade cake in the parish too!!
My daughter and I ventured into the musical concert on Saturday afternoon and shut ourselves in the refectory for fear of disturbing the audience with her excitable gurglings. Despite being shut away I did manage to hear some excellent keyboard playing, albeit rather muffled! We also managed to pop into the table top sale in the church hall and came away with a musical mat keyboard - which is already getting lots of use and a beautiful pink knitted cardigan. Sadly we didn't participate in the family walk - I wish we had now as it sounded really good.
Our teddies had a great time this afternoon at the picnic and loved being winched to the top of the tower in a basket and flung off the top with their safety gear attached. My children were happy to win several teddy items from the tombola stall. And we all stayed for the cream teas afterwards and ambled home tired out and full of scones!!
I'd just like to say well done to all who have organised the events of the last three days, it's been a lot of fun for all the family. I'm very much looking forward to the rest of festival .....
I thought the picnic yesterday was fab. We sat there saying
" we should do this more often". Then Gwen pulled that chocolate cake from her bag and said "I made this so we could all share it"- wow!
I thought it was hilarious seeing Bearamy in the queue with his bear for the Parachute.
Good times!
Amazingly- I won the scrabble. I used up all my letters twice in one round so gained bonuses of 100 points. Thanks to Pam and Shirley for a great afternoon- I had such fun. we should definately play scrabble as part of "open church" more often- anyone want to organise it?
