Now the Festival is over, Janey and I have decided to have another go at organising a photo club session. We're probably going to go back to Stockley Park this weekend to take some photos for a website that we're currently designing, and everyone is welcome to tag along with us if they want to. But what we're really thinking of is planning a trip which we can all attend.
Our initial thoughts are sometime next weekend (5th and 6th of July) but we're open to discussion for time and location.
Everyone is welcome to meet up here before hand, and weather permitting, we could have a BBQ afterwards. (bring your own sausages, chicken, burgers etc.) We've been playing with honey, mustard and ginger chicken, so the practice will be handy.
...So, who's interested?

cant do 5th but possibly available on 6th. love your gallery photos of the teddy bears!
Thanks for invite- Going to a party in oxford on 5th- Have to see if church energises or drains me on the sunday! Not specially optimistic as Him Indoors is away all week- Perhaps you could collect me and push me round in a wheelbarrow? Could make for some entertaining shots on the downhill slopes...
I'm sure we can figure something out. We could always try sweet-talking one of the golfers into taking you round in a golf buggy.
Failing that, there are going to be many more opportunities, and the 5th-6th was only a suggestion anyway. The question is, what weekends can we all make?
Janey and I had a nice day out yesterday, the baby coots are growing up nicely, but they are still scratty little things. The water-lillies are starting to pop up too now. The Carp were in abundance under one of the bridges. Must've been about 30-40 of them.
Had a funny moment yesterday when a dog decided it was going to take a swim in the lake. You haven't seen paternal instinct till you've seen an adult coot having a go at a rotweiller.
Just realised it's the school fair on 6th and my singers and recorder players are going to need me. And PANIC we have no free saturdays or sundays till OCTOBER. Calm down- it's because we've got lots of lovely fun things to do.
The coot/rotweiler story makes me smile. Next time catch it on video please!
It looks like it will just be me, Paul and possibly Christine for the photography tomorrow...
Any more takers? And Christne... are you still coming and if so what time is best for you?
Due to a severely bruised toe I probably won't want to do *too* much walking but the beautly of Stockley Park is that if we go straight to the lake there are plently of things to photograph round and about.
Despite the sore toe we're still up for it if people want to come.
What time will it be?
Janey and I are free all afternoon, so we haven't set a time as such.
We were waiting for people to suggest what time was best for them. Some may have Sunday lunch to consider etc.
What time is best for you?
three? Have got a small digital camera but not sure how it works
You certainly won't be alone.
There is nothing wrong with putting the camera in auto and just snapping away. I've found this technique works whether you have a small pocket digital, or one of the bigger Digital SLR's like Janey and I have. Most of the pics Janey and I take are in auto, though we are getting more adventurous with the settings nowadays.
I also have a spare mid-range digial camera should anyone need to borrow one.
The photo trips are mainly about having a nice pleasant walk whilst taking a few pics. The whole point, at least for us, is that we can all get what we want out of them. Some may want to take loads of technical shots, while most of us will probably just be taking 'snaps'. Doesn't really matter as long as it's fun.

Was the "three?" in reference to the time? If so that's OK I think... if you want to meet us at our place let me know and I'll send you details privately (that goes for anyone else who wants them too) otherwise we could meet at the pub on the lake????
