This April, a new congregation was born to St John's. It met in the home of a housebound friend of Jane Upchurch's. Jane, knowing that her friend would love to go to church but could not, gathered a handful of folk from St John's, and they arranged to meet in her friend's flat one Sunday morning a month. A neighbour heard about the gathering and joined in.

Sometimes, when churches "plant new congregations", it involves months of planning, countless committees and large amounts of resources. This, on the other hand, was so simple.
