A replacement for St John's new noticeboard has been ordered and will be installed soon. The aluminium framed board will replace the wooden and concrete structure which was demolished by vandals last month.

The new-look board lasted less than a week, after it was installed by Alan Reed and Tony Sheffield. "At least it got noticed," Rob Harrison commented, "which is what noticeboards are there for. The previous board might have avoided vandalism simply because it was so unnoticable."

The replacement board will have additional anti-vandal features and will look almost identical to it's short-lived predecessor.
