The transforming effect of God's Spirit

The third of our mini-themes for April/May leads us through the transition from Jesus, the Christ, to the emergence of the ‘Christian’ Church. This is the transfer of ministry from Jesus to his disciples. It was a moment of moving on that was part of the process of rabbis sending out their disciples.  Read full article »

The new Mission Action Plan is now available, in full or abridged format, at the back of church for you to take away, ponder, and pray about. Every five years we do a 'stocktake' and set objectives for the next leg of our journey.  Read full article »



Politics!

As expected, we are now in the middle of an election campaign. I suspect that I am not the only one who is quickly bored by the tit-for-tat insults of British party politics. However, politics is important, and we have to take it seriously. There will always be politics and politicians. Be it religious or secular, elected or imposed, wherever humans live together, politics is there.  Read full article »



Hustings Evening

On Thursday 22nd April for the run-up to the General Election there will be a hustings in church, starting at 7.30. All the main parties will be represented. Other local faith groups are participating too, as well as other local churches, and anyone else is of course welcome too. Please come and bring your friends.
