Junior Church

Junior Church

Junior Church meets in the Meeting Room behind the Church Hall, from 10.00 to 10.45.

Each month of the school term has a different style: one focuses on music and singing; one on art and craft; and one on drama. Each month exploring a common theme in its own way.

The children are dropped off by their parents and are brought back to church by the leaders in time for Family Communion.

We try to make it as much fun as we can for the children, and don't want them to feel as if they are coming to school again, although we do expect certain levels of behaviour. Good listening is a must!!!!!

All Age Worship.

The 11.30 to 12.00 phase of our Sunday morning programme provides an opportunity for parents and children to worship and learn together.

The children sprawl over the carpet at the front of church with supervising adults and engage in various activities while the adults listen and sing. There are also opportunities for children to join in with the music and the story telling. Often the whole congregation play together.

At 12.00 there is an opportunity for adults and children to separate for a few minutes. Adults gather at the back of the church for an informal discussion, while the children huddle together for conversation and activities that are particular to their own experience of life.
