As quite a few of you know St John's website underwent a major redesign during the early spring of 2007, and a total rebuild at the end of May 2007... well, we've been at it again!

We were greatly inspired when the St John's Website was nominated for the Premier Christian Radio Awards (September 2007) - we came in the top 6 for "Best Church Website" category! That gave us a huge injection of inspiration and enthusiasm to see how we could improve things so we've had our thinking caps on and have been playing with new ways of doing things. We've tried to put something together that is easier to maintain and less complicated to update than the previous version - Thanks to everyone who helped with discussing ideas in the Forum!

What we aimed to achieve

• Much more of a community feel so we can extend the flexibility of our worship style to the website
• Easier maintainence
• More flexibility for new content

New features added in this build are

• Integrated Forum
• Improved Photo Gallery
• Blog section
• Virtual Prayer Wall
• More dynamic Home page to replace static images
• Notifications of new content
• Ability to add comments to certain content
• Personal messsaging

Current ideas for new features include

• A photographic tour of the church building
• Embedded media clips
