Traidcraft - Gay Durston
It has been a good year for TRAIDCRAFT. More orders, more money taken, more people using Traidcraft and more awareness of Fairtrade. Traidcraft has been innovative in that it is offering more special offers and giving more updates with monthly bulletins. With the surplus money various organisations have benefited from donations. Traidcraft itself (during the Fairtrade Fortnight in March), St John's and others. David and Gay would like to thank Dianne Lodge and Rosemary Blackbee who help with the stall and also Angela Craven for all her help and her continuing interest. Finally a plea:- would anyone else be interested in helping out on a regular basis or just when they can? Please let us know. Most of all thanks to you all for your continuing support.
Herald - Bob Masdin
St John’s Herald produced 10 issues each year and the readership is approximately 180 copies per month. The Advertising is organised by Christine Bartlett. Thankyou to all the regular contributors, but especially Doug Kelly who has been interviewing members of the congregation and producing a series of articles.. These fascinating insights into peoples' lives have been very popular with our readers. If you happen to be at a St John’s event please send me a few lines and/or a photo, please don't assume that someone else is doing it.
Hall - Mary Hughes
Thanks to Ian and Jane for their hard work with the bookings. We still have a happy working relationship with the hall hirers. We welcomed 2 new lets in 2008. Mary marks up 40 years as hall caretaker this year.
