Through the process of preparing this Mission Action Plan it has become clear that we wish to embrace and encourage a wide variety of forms of Christian worship, encouraging individuals to meet God and one another in ways that suit their needs and circumstances.

We plan to introduce a programme of Sunday Morning Worship that offers a spectrum of worship opportunities ranging from the Book of Common Prayer, though the resources of 'Common Worship' (2000), to informal and interactive contemporary worship.

This will work as follows:

• 8.30 Traditional Communion
• 9.00 Breakfast & Conversation
• 9.30 Songs of Praise
• 10.00 Understanding our Faith
• 10.30 Family Communion
• 11.00 Refreshments & Activities
• 11.30 Praise & Worship
• 12.00 Exploring Faith Together
• 12.30 Food & Friendship

People will be able to arrive and leave at any time during the morning, and there will be a clear opportunity to move at the end of each half hour section.

The launch of the new structure will be an opportunity for a significant promotional campaign for worship at St John's.
