A rich man was throwing a party, he had sent out the invitations, he had bought the drink, he had prepared the food.
But no-one arrived.
Excuses started coming in: ‘I’m too busy’, ‘I’ve got a date’, ‘I have to work’.
The rich man was furious. He said to the caterers, ‘We’ve got the food, the drink and the music, but we need people. Go into the streets and bring in anyone who will come.’
The caterers did what they were asked, but there was still room for more. The rich man sent them out again. ‘Go into the city centre,’ he said, ‘bring in the homeless, the alcoholics and the drug addicts. I want my party to be full.’
Don’t miss God’s party.
