Festival News
Congratulations to the Flower Guild and friends who have put on a superb Flower Festival this year. Once again you have surpassed yourselves. At the time of printing this Link it was clear that the arrangements were going to be wonderful even though they weren't completed. Well done all of you!
Sunday 21st June - Festival Service - 4pm
There will be no morning worship on 21st June. Instead, there will be a single act of worship in the vicarage garden in the afternoon. The service will include a barbecue tea. Please bring: some meat (or vegetarian alternative) to be pooled (enough to feed the number of people with you), a side dish of your choice to share, additional drinks for yourself. Wine, soft drinks and bread will be provided as these will be part of the 'communion' within the service. In the unlikely event of bad weather, the service will take place in the church.
There will be a collection basket so you will be able to bring your giving envelopes as usual.
Some seating will be available but please feel free to bring deckchairs/rugs.

Attention Worship Leaders, Junior Church Leaders & helpers! There is a Godly Play Training Event taking place on Wednesday 23rd Sept 2009 at Diocesan House in Pimlico. Many schools and parishes in London have had great success using Godly Play as a way of engaging children with sacred stories. This day course will give you an introduction to the method and give you the basic grounding you need to begin. Participants can experience key elements of the Godly Play approach (including one or two stories), see a carefully laid out children's sacred space and explore many of resources. The session will cost £30 which includes lunch. If anyone is interested- please see Christine Bartlett for a booking form.
Churchyard News: What a week we've had out in the churchyard! For 3 days we have had employees from Sky TV on "team building" afternoons. They have been working hard clearing overgrown areas and removing ivy from gravestones. Also Bob Lang, John Woodland and Rosemary Blackbee have been cutting all the hedges and grass so that everywhere looks its best for the Festival. Thankyou to them for all their hardwork- you are much appreciated. Do take a look outside today if you have time- you will notice a difference!
